Welcome to the Drak MTB Xperience website!

This weekend mountain biking experience is geared toward a relaxed and fun weekend of riding and other activities for the whole family, but also providing the possibility of a testing and varied challenge for the more experienced rider.

The aim for 2010 is to have some social and fun riding on Saturday 15 th May, covering a variety of the different tracks and routes not normally available to visitors to the area. This will be a warm up, on different and interesting routes, for the Sunday races.

Timing and positions for these rides will be monitored for the top placings only, and there will be informal awards at the Underberg Country club, together with some food and drinks, on Saturday evening.

Sunday 16 th May will offer fully administered ROAG events and will be a true and exciting test of mountain biking – with distance and skill levels to suite your choice. The 45km Classic covers some excellent forest, cattle and river single track and has some relatively technical and rocky sections. Part of the race route is included in the Sani Spoors permanent trails ( see www.sanispoors.com) so is nicely worn in. The 20km intermediate Fun Ride will be more sedate and gentle (but there are still some testing hills and sections!) and the ride for the kids will be on and around the golf course – with some nice little obstacles to make them feel part of the fun!

Please see the Race Details page for more information on the Saturday and Sunday rides.

Pre-entry and online payment is via the ROAG website (www.roag.co.za) with a premium payable for on the day entries on both Saturday and Sunday.

With the Xperience taking place in such a picturesque setting, at the very feet of the World Heritage Site Ukahlamba mountains and also at the most colorful (Autumn) time of year, it will be a family weekend Xperience to remember – and to tell your friends about – and definitely to put in your riding calendar for next year.

Please see the Accomodation page for a variety of accommodation options to suite all pockets – from camping on the Underberg Country Club grounds at R50 per person to the five star Moorcroft Manor.
